The quest for the crown…or diamond.

You've seen them before. The members of Stardoll that are placed on a pedestal above the rest of us, yet still walk amoung us. The ones with one thing always with them, always their compainion: a diamond. Face it, we all consider Royalty Members somewhat elite. If you demied it, you'd be lieing. But really, what's the appeal?
I've been royalty before. It isn't any different than being a normal superstar, except you get into an exclusive club that isn't all that great. I remember getting really excited and thinking royalty members were actually hand-picked for their hard work and orginality before I found out it was just because I had been Superstar for a year. I hadn't minded at the time, but now I really do. I don't really want to be royalty now. I wouldn't mind it, but I wouldn't make a point of staying superstar for a year just for the diamond.
Before you envy the diamond, the mark of royalty, to much, consider this: all Stardoll wants is your money. It's yet another bribe to pick your pockets and a complete rip-off.

Young Hollywood Inspired

So, Smallflame asked for this, so here you go. :) I really like the Young Hollywood store. It's bright, its flashy, it's colorful-great for summer. I got a tank top from there. I decided to do a flashy runway-ish makeup look with colorful eyes and nude lips, but the eyes didn't end up flashy enough, so I used my favorite Luxe lipstick.

Start out with black eyeliner on your upper lash line and French Vanilla on your waterline. I put lengthening and volumizing mascara on, as always. Use Summer Pear Eyeshadow as a base. I put Tigerlily on the outer corner, Golden Sunset on the middle, and Orchid Bloom in the inner corner. Put French Vanilla eyepencil on your lower waterline. I tried to add just a touch of Bermuda shadestick on the bottom, but it doesn't really show up. Add Cashmere Rose blush around your eyes and Pink Lavender blush on your cheekbones. Add Hot Pink Glitter Lipstick and lip gloss for the lips.

Are people really that desperate?

Have you seen the parties open for everyone recently? I'll save you the troble of going and looking by telling you what you'll see.
-Sex (lez and bi only)
-Meet your match
-One Night Stand-boys come and get me (I learned new moves. ;))
-Hot guys come! Girls will be kicked out! I'm single!
-I'm hot and single
-Hey boys I'm single
Dating and having sex on Stardoll? Really? Now, first off, I do not have any problems with people that are gay, lezbian, or bi. Love is love, no matter what gender you are. But why would you want to have sex with anyone on Stardoll? You wouldn't feel it, so you wouldn't get any pleasure out of it. IT'S POINTLESS, not to mention gross and against the rules. You could ignore it, I suppose, but if you like parties, then its hard to because some times its literally almost every party thats dating or sex related.
And dating on Stardoll...where do I start? For one, you never know whose on the other side of the screen. You could be dating some old man looking for some entertainment. Just think about it.

Crazy Doll

This is what happens when I'm watching Halloween Makeup Tutorials in April. XD So, this tutorial is based off a crazy doll. I like it, it's just so dramatic. :] Of course, it would be a lot better with long, curly hair, but whenever I try to change the medoll of an official Callie's Nightmare account, *someone* always changes it. -.-" So we're stuck with short hair for this.
The main factor of the outfit itself is the dress. It's from Fallen Angel, and on the very last page. I love the necklace that comes with it. :} I added Fallen Angel Fantasy Gloves, red heels, and some shorts things. I added socks from the third page of Kloz.

First, add black eyeliner. Next, add white eyeshadow fairly close to the eye itself. Add black eyeshadow right under the brow. Add mascara and white khol. I added Pink Lavender blush to the sides of the face because its really delicate looking, which is exactly what we want. I put Golden Fleece Lipstick on, then Luxe Blood Red Lipstick to the middle, making your lips look more narrow. I added lipgloss just over the Blood Red. Use beauty marks/moles to make a crack.

Perfect Day

The Perfect Day store-face it, you either like it or you don't. I like it, but I think that it's giving more un-needed publicity to the Royal Wedding. All the royal wedding stuff is getting on my nerves. I turn on the the TV-"Watch the Royal Wedding live-starting at 5 a.m.!" I go on the computer and go on Stardoll-"Visit our new Royal Wedding store-Perfect Day!" Just SHUT UP.

As far as the store itself goes, I like it overall. They have a dramatic factor I just love, especially the purple dress featured on the store sign. My one problem with the store is the prices. They come in separate pieces, not a whole dress. That one purple dress I like costs 26 stardollars not including the gloves and hat that go with it. With the gloves and hat, it costs 40 stardollars. I find that ridiculous. I mean, who would pay 40 stardollars for a dress?

So, all in all, I think that the Perfect Day store has nice clothes, but it's overpriced and unnecessary. What do you think?

Lauren Conrad Style

So, I was in a city close to where I live today with my best friend, Hannah. While there, I got a book that was on my must-read list for awhile now-Lauren Conrad Style. I LOVED it. I devoured it while getting a pedicure, on the drive home, and right after we got home. I was inspired to do a Lauren Conrad Inspired look. After all-I've decided that she's my fashion icon. I loved every outfit in the book. I wasn't expecting that, to be honest. I added my own twist, obviously. The look is inspired, not attempting to copy her.

I started out with a simple pair of skinny jeans and black pumps. The Jeans are from Otto, and the shoes are from Voile. I added a loose, flowy t-shirt and layered two necklaces. The necklaces are both from Epiphany. I like the top. IT'S SO SHINY!!!!! (Yes. I am hyper. What else do you expect? I was with Hannah all day.)

Lauren said that she hates eyeshadow because she went overboard with it in middle school, piling on loads of purple. I love eyeshadow though, so why not add it in a subtle way? I took Summer Pear Eyeshadow in the inner corner and blended it out to white in the outer corner. I added black eyeliner. As far as the wing goes, she says to pretend your face is a clock. The corner of your eye is noon and the very edge of your face is 3. Aim for 1:30. On the bottom, only go halfway to make your eyes seem bigger and more almound-shaped. Add subtle blush to the sides of the face. Put Golden Fleece lipstick and Luxe Lipgloss on the lips to create a nude lip.

Do you like celebrity inspired looks? If yes, what celebrity should I base a look off of next?

Sugary Sweet

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I was taking a little break. I'm back now though. :] Today's outfit is girly and casual. If it was in real life, I think it would be good for school.

I love the Cherry Blosson Tunic. The pattern is perfect for spring. I also like the jeans and shoes. Denim Trousers and Ankle Sock Boots. I'm more iffy about the bag. It looks almost like it's made out of tin foil.

First, put Camillia Eyeliner on the top. Put White Eyeshadow all the way up to the brow. Add Cashmere Rose Khol on just the top. Put Bubblegum Eye Dust on the inner corners and Pink Carnation Eye Dust on the outer corners. Put Cashmere Rose Blush on the side of the face, then add Luxe Lipgloss.

On The Edge

I noticed that my outfits so far have all be High Fashion or girly. I wanted to do one that's good for the Stardollians that like a more edgy look. So, with the completely un-original name, "On The Edge", here it is.

I love statement peices, like this jacket. I mean, sure, I'm not a huge fan of the jacket itself, but it's easy to style with. It stands out a lot, so you don't need to put to much effort into the rest of the outfit. The jacket is the Hotbuys Leather Jacket from Evil Panda. I just have a plain Black Tank from Otto underneath and Gathered Skinny Jeans from Killah. It's completed with Laced Up MS Boots from Miss Sixty. I love these boots; especially the heel. I love heels. They make or break an outfit for me, and the higher, the better.

The makeup is actually a lot more simple than it looks. First, you put Black Liner all around the eye, not creating a wing. Put Black Eyeshadow on the lid, up into the crease, and then up to the eyebrow in one line. Put another layer on the lid and crease, and then layer the line three times. Put Black Eye Kohl around the eye, with just a little underneath. Put on Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara. Put Cashmere Rose Blush on just the sides of the face. Make nude lips with Golden Fleece Lipstick and Luxe Lipgloss.

Who says structure can't be fun?

Structure. What images does the word bring you? For me, I think of school. School and runway shows, with strong shoulders and angled cuts. These clothes prove that structure isn't always boring. If you add fun colors and prints, it can be...interesting at the very least. Today's look was inspired by structure.

I started out with the Photo Print Sweater from Miss Sixty. At first glance, you see colors-yellow, white, purple, and black. Normally one wouldn't combine these colors in a single outfit, but the sweater manages to make them all look fun and chic. It has long sleeves-which brings structure to mind. It's very low cut though, and you don't want your doll's bra showing, so I put the Crew Neck Tee from the Stardoll store on under it. It's just a plain white cropped t-shirt. Nothing special there. You could also use a White Tube Top from Basics, if you wanted to. I wore Denim Leggings from Otto with them. I like the dark wash, and how they fit like a second skin. Then I wore Purple Flats from Otto. You could also use the Steel Toed Flats from Killah with them, I just don't like the shiny metal toe. The Zest Sueeze Shopper from Fudge completes the outfit. Add jewelry, I added the Rock Necklace from Epiphany.

This look, like my LE-inspired makeup, is for people that are in no way afraid to stand out. Take White Liner and put on as much as possible, with a wing from the outer corner but not the inner. Add just a little French Vanilla Liner to the top of the wing, like a stripe, or a hat for the eyeliner. :) Put White Eyepencil all around the eye. Put Malibu Blue Shadestick over the liner's wing, like a...hat for the liner's hat. (Weird term, yes, but I don't care.) Finish off the eyes with both Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara. Put Pink Lavender Blush under the eyes. Then add White Lip Pencil. I also added Luxe Lipgloss, but you can't see it because the lipstick is white.

Rulebreaker

The title of this post is really ironic, considering the outfit is incredibly girly. I chose the title because the post it about creativity, and breaking Stardoll's unspoken "rules" with clothing. Everyone puts one top, maybe two, maybe a jacket, some form of bottom and shoes to create a basic outfit. What happens when you break out of the limitations of society.

Pretty dress, isn't it? You just take the most recent Hot Buys Dress (Pretty in Pink, 20 Stardollars) and pile a LOT on. One for the top and around 20 for the skirt. (Yes, it's expensive.) You put the Pink Tulle Miniskirt from Perfect Day on over them, and there you go. You have a one-of-a-find floor length Couture Gown. :L

The makeup is very fresh-faced. You don't want to compete with the dress, do you? Put Camiella Liner around your eyes, avoiding creating a wing. Put White Liner in the corners of your eyes. Put white eye pencil in the corner also. This creates brightness in the eyes, drawing people's attention while you're cruising around clubs and stuff. Put Summer Pear Eyepencil everywhere else. Put Orchid Bloom eyeshadow in the outer corners, and finish off the eyes with Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara. Put Cashmere Rose Blush on the sides of your face, and if your doll is smiling, on the apples of the cheek also. Add Cotton Candy Lipstick and Luxe Lipgloss, and you're done with the makeup. I added Fairy Kei Earrings from Sunny Bunny.

LE Makeup

This was something Smallflame asked me to do. I liked the idea, so here it is. :] It's a makeup look inspired by the new LE. It's more for people that aren't scared of standing out and are fine with their makeup colors not matching to much.

As you can see, there's nude lips and dramatic eyes and cheeks.

Let's start with the eyes. Take Thistle Down Liner, put it on and create a wing. Next, take French Vanilla Eyepencil and put it all around the eye. Put Sunset Gold EyeShadow and keep it as close to the Khol as possible. Take the Bermuda Shadestick and put it on the outer corners, all the way up to the brow. Finish it up with Artic Ice Shadestick right under the brow and Lengthening Mascara. Put Cyclamen Blush on the side of your face, starting at the corner of your mouth and going up to the temple. To create a really nude lip, put Golden Fleece Lipstick and Luxe Lipgloss on.

The Rose's Amaranth

The Rose's Amaranth is our Fashion Tips writer. The Rose's Amaranth is...strange, to say the least. From her picky music taste to her OCD, you'll never really understand her. She likes Symphonic Heavy Metal music, which is basicly heavy metal with a background of violins and stuff, and often Opera-like vocals. Her favorite bands/singers are Nightwish, Tarja, Epica, and Within Temptation. She loves fashion. Sure, there are styles she likes more, but she likes to think that she's decent at putting together outfits from most. On Stardoll, she's a rule breaker. She's managed to get one account deleted...and forgot the password from the other. She's being careful not to loose her current one. She has three younger brothers, and is going to get a lap dog fairly soon, hopefully this summer. She lives in a warm climate in America.
